Note: When you file is damaged then you can do any one from these two solution :
1. Try for Repair
2. Uninstall and reinstall again.
for complete reinstall process follow Reinstall using clean install and if need any guidance on any technical problem during this tutorial follow Intuit Tech Support .

I cant seem to find the manual for OS support. If windows XP is supported, the program works the same. For Vista and Win7 don't know really. Always when you're in doubt, makes the backup default.
