My Sony Bravia KLV-32S400A shut down automatically and there is red light blinking for 8 times. What happened??
A short circuit with its main board component, can make 8 blinks of standby/power light. These blinks [flashes] are fault indication. You can get an idea about the faulty stage circuit inside the TV, by the number of these blinks. Count it carefully, by switching it ON and OFF, more than 2 times at least, so that, you can make sure about the number of these blinks. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. Check audio voltage supply from power supply board, if OK, replace GP Board (main board)
and if audio volts are not available, check/ replace power supply board.

AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks
for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function.
Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761
and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the
A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up
screen slightly.
