I am doing a load of laundry the washing machine maytag neptune

Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor.

Do

Hi.

Error LR means Locked Rotor.

Either the motor is faulty, there is a wiring problem, or the control assembly is faulty.

Try tripping the circuit breaker to reset the machine, if code comes back a technician must have a look at the motor.

Take the dust cover off the rear and check the belt.
Make sure the main pulley ain't warped.

It sounds like the door gasket has failed. Looks like you will need to get it replace. I don't know of any easy way to get around replacing the gasket.

just an FYI to anyone who might need to know. my neptune started kicking up an error of LR and stopping. i ended up sending an email to maytag and got a response back from one of their techs. the LR code means "Locked Rotor". when this happens the cause is one of two items. 1) the circuit board at the top of the unit has lost connection to the motor and its control board at the bottom (connector loose) or 2) the motor and or control board at the bottom have trashed and need to be replaced (P/N 12002039).

Im having the same problem what is the lr code and how do you get rid of it?

LR == locked rotor, which translates to a bad motor and motor control board( usually depending on age sold a 1 set. Neptune repair kit. retails for about $200 part number 12002039

What is the mod. #? There are both top and front loading neptunes. lr means locked rotor but it could be something else.

Lr means locked rotor basically you have serious problems i would call a service tech for this.
