I have not fixed my problem yet, but I found a great web site with a complete breakdown of parts for the WFK 2401.
It is http://www.appliancepartspros.com/
They also have live tech support free. It was really quite nice.
Based upon my personal testing of my machine I think my problem may be
1: the circuit board.
2: a inlet valve for the hot or cold water.
Error code 01 keeps flashing. The owners manual says this is a water inlet blockage or a valve problem.
:(
I actually fixed the machine about 1 week ago. the date of this posting.
After much trial and error I figured out it was the Could water valve.
It snapped out w/o the use of a screws. The hoses came off easily enough
And I purchased a new part from a local dealer in Haltom, TX.
The name was "Appliance Part's Depot." They were the cheepest
for this part at $72.50. I followed the advise of another member and took
Lots of pictures.
Had I called a Tech to come to my home and fix it, it would have been big $.
Now All I have to do is wait for the water valve to die.
:)
Thanks for the post! I have the exact same problem with this washer. Was there a good way to test whether your problem was with the cold inlet valve or the hot inlet valve?
Thanks,
Mai
Yes,
There is a good way to test whether it is the cold water valve.
Run the machine with out any clothes in it. 1st run it on a cold wash and then a hot wash. Watch the amount of water moving through the machine.
Right before you get the error you should be able to hear but not see a water going into the tub. Pop out the detergent drawer and watch the water flow into the machine.
I would not do this until you are sure that there is restricted water flow as you may end up with a really wet floor.
Turn on the desired cycle(regular dry).the time shows 1:01 and i'm ready to push on start/pause button"........nothing ....
Push button nothing happens
I have the same machine as above. The problem with it is it stops half way through the cycle. I push the start button again then it will go to the end of the cycle with out it washing. What could the problem be please help?
