Bosch SHU4312 won't finish cycle, won't drain.

We have a Bosch SHU4312 that is over 10 years old. It has worked fine until last night it began the scrub cycle, filled with water, dumped soap, and ran for over 3 hours, washing with water circulating inside, without pumping any water out. It made a "humm-whish" noise over and over. Soapy water inside was steamy hot, and there was no overfill. None of the filters were plugged.

The control board on these units is prone to a cold solder joint cracking. I have read that Bosch recommends replacement and will supply the board, not covering labor. I repaired mine prior and have done one for a friend as well. Has lasted several years and counting
The symptom is constant cycling without ticking down the last few minutes

I solved this by replacing the controller module. It had a PC board failure that was obvious upon inspection.

Is there a Reset button for Bosch shu53 dishwasher?

Press and hold Scrub Wash and Delicate/Econo buttons at the same time for three seconds. This will advance the unit to "CL" (clean), meaning the washing cycle is finished, and will drain the water. Do this if your unit gets stuck on 1 minute left, which is common with this model. (I am told that the control panel melts over time, and that the unit is not designed to last more than 10 years.)

My Bosch dishwasher is driving me crazy! When it finishes a wash cycle it beeps twice every 10 minutes until the door is opened. We can't run the dishwasher at night after dinner unless we're SURE we...

Hello there,

It would help to know the model number of the dishwasher, but on many Bosch dishwashers, you can switch the cycle cycle completion signal off as follows:

1. While holding the right-hand CANCEL/DRAIN button, also press and hold the ON/OFF button
2. When the LED above the CANCEL/DRAIN button illuminates and the beeping starts, release both buttons
3. Press the right CANCEL/DRAIN button repeatedly until the beeping tone is at the desired volume, i.e. silent!
4. Press the "ON/OFF" button again to set the volume.

On models with the wash cycle buttons on the top edge of the door, the CANCEL/DRAIN buttons aren't always explicitly labelled CANCEL/DRAIN. These buttons are also labelled RESET on some models.

On models with 3 and 4 wash cycle buttons, the right CANCEL/DRAIN button is the third button when reading from left to right. On models with 5 wash cycle buttons, the right CANCEL/DRAIN button is the fourth button when reading from left to right.

Please try the above then let me know if you need further assistance. Please state the model number or series (i.e. Integra) of your washer if/when replying.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Dishwasher does not complete cycle

The problem is the timer/control. I checked for a recall but your model wasn't on the list. Many of these had a recall for the control, they were a fire hazard. Heres a link to help install the timer/control http://appliancehelponline.com/dishwashercontrol.html. When you remove the front panel there will be to plastic hinge covers be sure to reinstall these they help keep it quiet. They just slip over the hinge. The rest of the removal will be the same.

My Bosch dishwasher is only 2 yrs old and for the following two nights does not want to pump out the water. If I drain it, it sometimes starts the cycle and sometimes not?

If no warning lights show up, then it is a matter of finding if the outlet is blocked somewhere. I am assuming the fact you can drain it manually means the pump is ok. Perhaps some sensor which is covered in muck.

I would start by cleaning the filters at the base and then running the unit with a dishwasher cleaning kit (without dishes in it). Finish cleaning kit is quite good and the instructions are on the pack.

By the way these units normally have a 2 to 3 year warranty on some parts. I am assuming you have the proof of purchase so that you can call the Bosch support guys.

Dishwasher not draining after a power cut

I would run the heated dry cycle a few times to try and get rid of that residual water, then restart the cycle and see if it work now. If it still is a problem try cleaning out the drain line behind the dishwasher, this is a very common problem with draining. If not that then might need a valve or if you have a new garbage disposal you need to punch out a peice of the plastic or it wont drain. Hope this helped, good luck

Water left after finishing wash

I have a Bosch Dishwasher and the E-Nr is SGS4362EU/03. The machine is approximately 4 years old, in good condition and has been working very well. Suddenly, there is water remaining after it completes a 50 degrees C wash cycle. This is also evident with the pre wash cycle and the 65 degrees wash cycle.

I have checked and cleaned the filters. I have loosened the internal pump white cover (Torx T 20 screw) and checked for any physical blockage - none. I have also checked for any drainage hose kinks - none.

I have tried a series of empty washes and the machine drains the water during the wash cycles. The dishes are also have a dull colour and show show signs of not being properly rinsed during the wash cycle.

Please assist.
