Sony bravia kdl52xbr2 problem

My Sony kdl52xbr2 is less than one year old.  The tv goes black with streaks of blue, green, and yellow.  The audio still works, just not the screen.  What are my options?  How can this be repaired?  Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
sktbin

Hi,hoping that the cable connections are right(check the cable connections once again)..... Sounds like you may have a problem with the video driver boards? I would call up the store where you bought it and ask for a new set or service on this one.
More than likely this is a bad display (lcd screen) the drivers in the lcd display have some problem...... the tv is just a month old so you are still under the warranty period....... just contact the sony outluet where you purchased or the manufacturer for servicing of tv

I have a black approx 12 inch streak on the left side(facing tv) of my flat screen Bravia Sony TV . It is approximately 3 years old. It started as a brown panel..then became a fine lined multy colored...

sadly you have a bad panel. Sony panels carry a two year warranty.
your best hope is to call Sony and ask for a warranty extension to cover the cost of the part.

The color is off. Everything looks either green or yellow.

This is a light engine that is failing and a VERY common issue. Contact Sony because the warranty on these light engines was extended until June 30th of this year under bulletin E30020889. It is probably worth it as a consumer to call and see what they will do for you since this was really a design flaw. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks...

Connect cablebox/dvr to sony bravia

try yellow cable into the green y input.

The problem is that av output is going into component in
If the green port doesn't work I read on another forum that
you may be able to use a dvd recorder unit to take the av in and then it can re transmit the video to an output as component out on some dvd recorders.

Moved Sony Bravia TV, now will not turn on at all

The warranty on this set should be for 1 year. Return it for warranty service. Unless the set was dropped, moving it should not have effected anything. DO NOT open the set sas that would void the warranty.
