When I connect my wd box to my tv it blacks out every 10 secs very annoying. When we watch a dvd this doesn't happen. When we watch regular TV a blue box appears on the top right hand corner and again watching the wd box. Do I need to turn off a setting or could it be something else?

SOURCE: aquos Channel Bar/audio bar

There is no factory option to stop the box from poping up every time the signal changes, which is what is happening. It has something to do with signal strength or the fact that your cable box is not set up for HD. Call your cable company to get a tech out to check your signal and set up your cable box because they do not come pre-set with HD defaults.

Precision TV - PTV2548 no sound when your watching cable but there is sound forvideo input

may be the source itself(i.e. cable box) also check cables between cable box & TV. If you are connecting the DVD to the same input the cable box is installed, You know that input on the TV is OK. If you get no audio when the DVD is connected to the same input as cable box, then issue is the MAIN PCB.

When you say WD box, do you mean a Western Digital Hard Disk Drive? If so, get a Solid State Drive (SSD), and connect it via USB3.
The HDD or the USB connection is not fast enough to keep up with the required speed of the video.

If you mean something else, please add details.

When u put a dvd in it shows coloured, but regular tv channels shows black and white

Most likely the cable between the cable/satellite box and the tv is not fully home. Push all the connections firmly home and try it again.

Background voice, 27 inch "truflat" 2005 model

What you're hearing is the descriptive audio track included on many DVDs for vision-impaired viewers. Does this happen when you're watching regular TV or just with DVDs? If it happens with regular TV, do you have a cable box?

Regular broadcasting sometimes uses SAP (second audio program) to send additional audio, and this descriptive audio may be the SAP channel on some programs. Check your TV's audio settings to make sure you don't have SAP turned on. There may also be settings for SAP in your cable box as well, so check there too.

When playing a DVD, descriptive audio is usually an alternate audio track. Check your DVD player setting to make sure you've selected normal audio for playback.

TV will turn on, but not respond

Good Day, mistymiles;

Try this before calling a factory authorized service center:

Press " menu 2 > 4 > 7 > 0 > enter", on remote. After settings have been initialized > press the system reset button on the front, once the LED stops blinking > reprogram settings and tuner channels (if not using box). IF NOT fixed call for service (get estimate before repair) and suspect repair of DM PCB (printed circuit board).

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Blue Box in the Corner won't turn off!

That problem might be on the remote of display settings on video display. There is one button that will turn that off. Try Display Settings
