Yesterday my Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 manual mode setting could not detect the objects/scene in front of the camera. Exposure settings and white balance were ones used before for the type of scene/ligh

It seems that the camera when set to manual mode, which is mostly how I photograph, cannot "find" the objects or scene in front of the lens. It is not detecting the light level correctly whether that light is good daylight or is a low light situation. Again, in iA mode and some of the other automatic settings, the camera does not set the exposure correctly (badly underexposes) for the given amount of light. This has all happened suddenly since a few days ago I took some perfectly fine daylight and dusk low light pictures.

SOURCE: Pictures too dark

The settings in Auto Mode are factory set. If you want to adjust exposure and shutter speeds then you will have to shoot in Manual Mode (TV=Shutter Priority, AV=Aperture Priority, M=Full Manual)

SOURCE: Underexposed image on Auto mode

You can change the ISO setting also to Auto. If you have the advanced guide (see pp 80, 107).
Press the ISO button it will switch from various ISO setting to AUTO.

Do remember in Bright light , a lower ISO number like 80 will give you very fine images, while as the light level goes down, the ISO number will change to a higher number and the image will become more grainer.
I hope I could answer to your query.

What can I do to access certain items in my Record menu of my Panasonic Lumix DMC F300?

Some of these functions are not available when other options are set on the camera. HDR and handheld night mode aren't available if you are saving the images with the Quality set to RAW or either RAW + JPEG option. It doesn't work with still pictures when in movie mode. HDR is also not compatible with the Time Lapse Shot or Auto Shoot in Stop-Motion Mode. I'm not sure if there are similar limits with the Panoramic shot mode.

See the advanced manuals available on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 product page, http://shop.panasonic.com/cameras-and-camcorders/cameras/lumix-point-and-shoot-cameras/DMC-FZ300K.html , for these restrictions. The direct link to the manual is currently ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/camera/om/dmc-fz300_en_adv_om.pdf . Page 78 covers the Handheld Night Shot and page 126 covers the HDR mode. Look in the box with the blue background for these limits.

I hope this helps.

How do I take a monochrome shot

Checked the manual, but it does not show all scene modes. So I'm not sure it can take monochrome pictures. You should check there.
If you want black and white pictures, I advice to set up the capture mode to RAW and later in PS, light room or elements convert them to B/W (other brands of photo program's will do)

When half press the shutter button, the camera immedietly snaps a picture, it does not focus on the object or get the correct exposure.

Yeah, why did you half press the shutter? When you take a photo, you should press the shutter with force quickly.I think you didn't set your Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5 Camera at a proper mode for the scene, shot with a correct the next time.Wish helpful to you.

Bluish colour with Lumix TZ3

I found 2 different Lumix TZ3 cameras.
http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PNAEndecaSearchCmd?N=779832097+250033510&Ne=&Ns=&Nr=12001&No=0&Ntt=tz3&Ntk=SupportSearch&URL=vSupportSearch&cmTag=false&cm_sp=&cn=&catalogId=13401&storeId=15001

In the manual, I couldn't find a reference to a bluish color.

In FAQ's, I found the following:
What is “Intelligent Auto Mode” (or IA Mode)?
“IA mode” automatically activates MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Exposure, and Quick Auto Focus to match your subject and shooting situation. IA Mode is a great mode for beginning photographers

Multi shot mode for sports

for sports shot you can use panning
Scene menu:If designated through the set up menu, this menu automatically appears in the SCN1 and SCN2 modes. panning:is for takin photos of say example a runner or a cyclist,, You hold down the shutter and pan with the subject this will make the background blurry and the object clear.

Try also to check in manual; Theres a symbol (M) at the mode dial select that and you will be able to control overall exposure settings, including shutter speed and lens aperture...

OR... symbol (S) on the mode dial select that and you will be able to control shutter speed settings...

THANKS!

Burst mode on Panasonic Lumix dmc-fx50

I have, after sifting through the 144-page manual, figured out what the problem is! At some point you must have set the "Auto-Bracket" setting to on - I did the same thing! To turn this off, put it in any of the Scene or Manual Exposure modes, then press the up (↑) key until "Auto-Bracket" comes up. Then, using the left or right (←,→) keys, set it to Zero (0). This should hopefully solve your problem! :)

Flash is not working?

Not likely. Unless the flash setting has been turned to off (a lightening bolt with a circle and cross through it on screen or in a menu), or to very low power, or you are in a camera mode that turns the flash off (check your exposure scene modes) this requires replacement. You could send it away for a quote through a camera store but prepare for the worst $$$
