If there's a book that comes with the remote follow the instructions for it. It usually tells you how to scan for the right signal. sometimes it even gives you the code for the type of tv it is.
If that doesn't help try checking online for the code that needs to be put in.
sometimes you can find step by step instructions on the website for the type of control you have.
If it's a tv provider remote I suggest calling your provider and they can give you step by step instructions.
Hi, I also live in Highton and having had perfect reception on all channels, also recentlydeveloped trouble picking up HSV7.
I decided to rescan the channels. 7 was still not right so I scanned again and it was fine. This may not be the technical answer you were looking for.
My dissappointment is the tv died last night. No power at all.....fingers crossed it won't cost more than the tv cost to repair.
