I cant interact with the option setup screen on the DVD, that appears when I play it, with either the player or the remotes I have. would be obliged to know if with either a Sanyo TV remote, an RCA remote, or a JVC there' s a way to configure so I can operate the DVD player
SOURCE: NO color output
DAV-DZ3k is a good sony product especially ...famous for book shelf speakers, the problem is basically due to the cables used to connect video terminals or the TVcircuits is not proper with the av receiver.. Thank you Regards Sambhu Dayal
SOURCE: Can't get dvd out
I had the same problem With the DVD getting stuck in the player and DVD not playing. I was able to get the DVD out by first removing the screws that secure the top cover of the unit, then remove the cover ,then remove the face plate of the unit, mine had no screws ,it just had tabs that secure the face plate, also you will have to disconnect the serial cable below the DVD tray. Then look under the DVD tray and you will should see a white part that will slid to the right and this will allow you to manually push the DVD tray out and remove the DVD. I got less than a years operation out of the DVD player , the VCR still works though. After freeing my DVD i tried again to play it and the same problem occured. The longevity of this product is just not there for the100 bucks of what i payed for it. INFERIOR PRODUCT
SOURCE: Universal Remote
I dropped and busted my origional remote control. I bought a new one from www.newremotecontrol.com , there are many sites that sell origional remotes, so shop around. it is not a universal remote, but the actual remote for the product... a little pricy, but worth it to have all the funtions available.

Hello gjbrokke,
First make sure the disc is compatible with the dvd player (CD-R+ , or CD-R - )
Second make sure the region code of the dvd you burned is compatible with the dvd region settings on your dvd player.
One of those two are preventing the disc from playing in your sansui player.
