Dryer will not run more then 10 seconds

reprogram the key by putting it in the ignition and turning it to the run position. let it set for exactly 10 mins turn off and immediately return to the run position for 10 more minutes exactly. after the second 10 minutes turn off and immediately try to start the car.

I understand you want to turn the demo mode off of your Electrolux dryer, model# EWED65H. To deactivate the demo mode in your appliance, please try the following:

1)Turn the cycle knob to the last cycle on the right.
2)Press the start button and immediately afterwards press the cancel button.
3)Within 10 seconds, wake up your appliance by pressing the start button once.
4)Immediately, press and hold cancel and the right most key under the display, together for a minimum of 6 seconds. DEMO MODE will no longer show in the display.
5)If a 3 prong power cord (120V cord) is attached, remove it and attach normal 240 V cord.

My immediate reaction would be to cut your losses and buy a new unit as sooner or later you will run into a part that is no longer available.

I got the same problem and I tried to take off the belt let see the motor still running by itself but it still run for couple second then stop.

Hello: Will try to give you instructions: Attempt to start car, leave key on (security light flashing) let set for 10 minutes, After 10 minutes security light out. Turn key off for ten seconds, turn key on, let set for 10 minutes, turn key off for 10 seconds. turn key back on let set 10 minutes, turn key off for ten seconds, the engine should now start and stay running.

Maytag gas dryer , runs for about 15 sec. heats up , then completly shuts off , Checked thermal fuse & it was blown , replaced & it ran for about 15 sec again & blew fuse again ....help .

To deactivate the demo mode:
Turn cycle knob to last cycle on right. Press start to save cycle position.
Press cancel to turn machine off.
Within 10 seconds, wake unit by pressing start once, immediately press and hold cancel and right most key under the display together for a minimum 6 seconds.
“DEMO MODE” will no longer be shown in the display.

i would check the door switch. it may be worn just enough that the vibration of the dryer opens the circuit for just a moment. then check for other loose connections. the fact that you can restart immediately usually indicates a momentary break in the circuit. a temperature switch usually takes a short time to reset. while it's still running, try rattling various switches or smack the door to see if it shuts off. (just a couple of simple ideas to start with).

ckd coils on burner /valve they are probably breaking down..be sure you have good gas supply sounds almost like low or no gas pressure but believe you'll find coils bad
