Hi Dimitar,
We often hear users telling us that they not able to use Fn keys such as the fn for wireless, sleep, etc.
In fact, you need to install power management software and drivers whereby it has hotkey driver included in it. Hotkey driver is the key to make sure the Fn keys work.

P.S. This apply to only Lenovo Essential and Idea machines. Exclude Think machines.

Hotkeys are combinations of the fn key (lower left of keyboard) and one of the function keys:
Mute and restore speaker sound. fn+home
Increase speaker sound. fn+pg up
Decrease speaker sound. fn+pg dn
To use a hotkey command on the computer keyboard, follow either of these steps:
Briefly press the fn key, and then briefly press the second key of the hotkey command.

Press and hold down the fn key, briefly press the second key of the hotkey command, and then
release both keys at the same time.
Muting speaker sound (fn+home)
Press fn+home to mute speaker sound. Press the hotkey again to restore speaker sound.
Increasing speaker sound (fn+pg up)
Press fn+pg up to increase speaker sound. Hold down the hotkey to increase speaker sound incrementally.
Decreasing speaker sound (fn+pg dn)
Press fn+pg dn to decrease speaker sound. Hold down the hotkey to decrease speaker sound incrementally.

Most likely problem is related to the FN key software. Try downloading the drivers from http://support.toshiba.com

Trying using the "numlock" key it should undo the Fn hot keys. If your notebook is in hibernate state, using the power-up switch on the notebook will activate you notebook. This will ask you for a password, if you have been using one to logon to you notebook. The FN+F4 or F5 will toggle between a blank screen and a display.

Decrease Brightness (fn+f7) The fn+f7 hotkey decreases the brightness of the notebook screen. The longer you hold down the fn+f7 hotkey, the more the screen dims. Decreasing screen brightness conserves power. » To increase screen brightness, press the fn+f8 hotkey.

Increase Brightness (fn+f8) The fn+f8 hotkey increases the brightness of the notebook screen. The longer you hold down the fn+f8 hotkey, the more the screen brightens. » To decrease screen brightness, press the fn+f7 hotkey.
