Whirlpool Roper Gets to Rinse then water runs but will not fill

Washer works fine, then gets to rinse cycle and water runs in but does not fill, just goes straight out the bottom.
Did this once before, turned off and started cycle over and it worked fine.
Now, however, no matter where i start it in the cycle the water comes in but the unit will not fill at all.
Any ideas what is wrong?

The contacts for the outlet pump have fused together in the programmer so that as soon as you apply power the pump motor starts running.

Remove the power first

Quick check is to take off the back panel locate the pump and remove one of the supply leads
put some insulating tape around the end of the lead you have taken off in case it shorts out then put the power back on and try the machine, it should then fill and start to agitate .

If that works then you need a new programmer .

Turn off the power , replace the lead and then put the machine back on to drain out the water

My Roper heavy duty 8 cycle 2 speed combination washer does not fill up on rinse cycle

when in rinse washers use just cold water so clothes don't wrinkle, try this, set the washer to just cold, start it and see if it fills or fills slowly if so you have a bad water valve on washer or no cold water going to washer.

My 5 year old Roper washing machine fills up, washes/agitates the cloths, drains them when the washer get to the rinse line to start the rinse cycle it stops, and all I hear is a humming. The machine will...

I'm not familiar with roper washing machines so I'll ask the question does it have two fill hoses. Most European machines now only have one fill. If it has two then it sound like the machine takes the initial water from the one fill and the rinse cycle water from another. The humming sounds like the valve for the other fill needs replacing. These are quite inexpensive and easy to fit. Power off.. remove lid ....switch of water...take out valve when you establish which one is affected and replace

Roper washer fills and washes then will not fill on rinse cycle but goes into washing dry

Run the machine with hot only, and then cold only. Post back your results.

Maytag_lse7804ace: washer won't fill with water. If I fill it by hand, the cycle works fine (until it gets to the rinse cycle, when it won't fill again).

Hello John,
The most probable reason the washer is not filling is because of a blown fuse that is part of the lid switch asm. By UNPLUGGING THE WASHER and removing the 2 INNER screws on the the control panel and the control panel can be rotated down to see the fuse in the lid switch asm. Here is where the fuse is on the switch asm. its circled in red 11_4_2011_1_39_54_am.jpg

My whirlpool washer periodically gets stuck on rinse.. the water continues to run but its only about half full so it must be draining. My water bill was over $100 last month, please help.

check the lid switch, if it isn't working right the machine will not enter the spin cycle, also the timer may be going bad, it could stay stuck in between the rinse fill and rinse cycle

My Roper top loading machine will work fine on wash cycle, but will not fill up with water on rinse cycle. Please help

Check for a cold water supply problem, since it is cold water that gets used in the rinse. Remove the water supply hoses from the machine and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve. Make sure they aren't clogged with rust or debris. The solenoids can be checked using a multimeter or ohmmeter for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.
