5103 Not working after dead battery

Avital 5103 in a 2011 wrangler, dealer installed, has been working for 2 years. Vehicle battery died and now alarm and remote start are not working. System chirps when lock/unlock is pressed, but doors don't lock or unlock. When armed, shock sensor will trigger alarm but doors will not. When trying to remote start, I can hear relays clicking but starter is totally inactive.

Your vehicle requires a data/immobilizer interface that controls the door tirggers, brake shutdown, remote starter sequence, etc. When you lost power, the interface lost programming. it need to be reset.

SOURCE: driver's door won't unlock with remote

This may be a problem with wiring. I will need to know what the make and model is of the car. Also keyless entry system stock OEM or was that an option you have added? Lastly, did you install this system or was this installed by a cetified DEI corperation?

Thank you,
Luis

SOURCE: doors will not lock or unlock with alarm system

a common problem with cent lock is the wires in the door jam being pinched and broken, these are generally going to a aftermarket motor fitts ed in the door and there can be two or five wires .Also occasionaly the motor itself can be faulty so take of the door trim and check-it

SOURCE: my viper 2 way pager remote will not arm or disarm

It could be set on car #2. Press function for 8 seconds and a light next to lock should come on. If the light next to unlock and lock (two lights) then it is set to #2 car (you can operate 2 cars with one remote). All you have to do is press function again to toggle between the two cars. You want to end up with only one light showing.
So, hold function for 8 seconds, then after a light shows, release and press function until you only see the one light.

SOURCE: I have a highlander 2005 and had a Avital remote

It sounds like the tech who installed this in your truck doesn't know what he is doing. I have been a tech for 20 years and have done 100's of these trucks for keyless remote starts. The door lock wires are in the drivers door or behind the glove box. There is some time in doing this because you have to build relays and use diodes for them to work, but it is possible to be done.I would find another place to do it and bill the first place that could not do it.

I have just had an avital 5103L installed on my truck and when I start it with the remote in the morning the alarm goes off. only when cold

Get a meter and connect it at the battery terminal connectors while somebody starts the truck. Don't connect directly to the battery posts. If you get a big voltage drop, it might be the connectors not cleaned or tightened properly, or could be the battery. Many car alarms sound when the voltage isn't high enough. Also when you had the avital installed, they had to disconnect the battery, so it could be that.

I have a lexus rx350 2011. Had dealer install remote start. Battery is dead after car sits for 7 days. Happened twice. Dealer says there is no problem. Had it to Lexus repair twice. It always starts...

fit a solar panel and wire it in direct to the battery ,this will cure the problem ,its the alarm thingy using all the current when car is left standing ,but what will you do when vehicle has its first annual vehicle mechanical inspection at three years old as this remote start is not part of the vehicle and as such is not on the certificate of homoglonation from manufacturer ,Also i always thought this sort of device was illegal as you cannot leave a running vehicle unattended as this is an offence under the road traffic act of 1947 .

I have a problem with my avital 4103 remote starter everytime i try to start try to start my car my car alarm goes off

If this is the factory alarm going off when you remote start the vehicle, the factory disarm wire is not connected. If you would list the year/make/model of the vehicle, I could direct you to the wire.
