Yes, you can reset the password on your D-Link DIR-300 router. To do this, follow these general steps:

Access Router Settings:

Connect your computer to the router either via a wired or wireless connection.
Launch a web browser and input the IP address of the router (frequently 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) into the browser's address bar.

Login:

Enter the router's username and password. The default credentials are often admin/admin.

Navigate to Password Settings:

Look for the "Setup," "Wireless," or "Security" tab in the router settings.
Find the section related to changing or resetting the password.

Reset Password:

Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the password.
You may be asked to enter the old password before creating a new one.

Save Changes:

Save the changes and reboot the router if required.
Please note that the exact steps may vary slightly based on the router model and firmware version.

Problem with my wireless router.

To do that, you must first configure your router. Type in your browser the ip of your gateway. To get your gateway ip, type in your command prompt "ipconfig". Once type, you will be prompted with a username and a password. If you used this for the first time, the username and password are the default of your router. Once you are in, there is a menu there that you can configure to put in your wireless password. Choose WPA, it is much stronger password type.

How to install D-link DIR 300 for MACBOOK

You shouldn't need to install anything off the CD. Simply plug your Macbook into the DIR-300 via ethernet (making sure you manually set your Macbook's IP to 192.168.0.x (where x is anything from 2-254). Then open up your web browser and type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar. This will log you into the DIR-300 (I think the default login is "admin" with no password).

Refer to the manual for the configuration for the rest of your setup.
