If the phone is tied to a particular network all you have to do is to unlock your phone to use it any other GSM network. You can get the unlock code through online. me too having the same problem in finding the esn.. many say it will be available under the battery. But its not there! sorry no solution for this

find a friend who has a phone.
call that number.
see what comes up on thier caller ID.

without calling:
Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > my number

You can use Motorola phone tools to act as PcSuite .

if you have a CDMA then you will have to contact your mobile service provider and have them unassigned the number but if it is a gsm phone then just take out the simcard.
