MY IPHONE WONT TURN ON ALTHOUGH ACCEPTING CALLS

Does this happen on all inbound calls or just some?
If this is on all inbound calls...Sounds like Do not disturb is turned on. Most uniden's have a DND (do not disturb) mode. Try turning this off and see if that helps.
Using Do Not Disturb

• The Do Not Disturb or DND feature turns off the audio ringers of the base and all handsets at the same time. It does not affect any of the visual ringers.
  
• With the phone in standby, press and hold Do not Disturb on the base. The phone automatically turns on the answering system and shows Do Not Disturb in the display on all handsets.
  
• To cancel, press Do not Disturb.

If this is not the issue, it may be turned on at the central office (your phone company) try using the DND activation/deactivation code of *64 from your phone.
If this is just on some inbound calls...Then it you may have anonymous call rejection turned on. That feature blocks calls from people that block their calling number when placing calls.

The iPhone does not allow you to play music or use other audio options while on hold because you are still on the phone.
     
   • 6 Adjust the volume level before you begin a conference using your speakerphone. There are volume buttons on the side of the iPhone that provide detailed control over speaker sound levels.
     
   • 7 Mute the speakerphone if you must leave your office or take a break from a conversation. The "Mute" key is available on the call screen and instantly cuts off your microphone and the speaker.
     
   • 8 Add new contacts to your iPhone that you have called on your speakerphone. You can go back to your "Recent Calls" list or the keyboard to find numbers to add to your "Contacts" list.

They are fully compatible, although the Iphone 3G does not support voice dialing so you would only be able to make outbound calls to through speed dial (favorites on Iphone)

check ur phone settings if your firewall state is on it should be off click call firewall state off,sms firewall state off.try n let me know

Does the phone usually gets hot before the battery runs down?

Try changing the battery, maybe the battery cell is weak.

Let me know what happens after changing the battery, so that I might direct you further.

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

hey people i just got the new apple iphone only had it for 2 day's and i went to set a passcode and now it wont let me get call's or change passcode and it only let's me call 911 for a call out i really need help
