Turn it back on in a different location and give unit time to hook up to overhead satellite. If nothing then best you call Garmin for guidance.

Are you sure that there is balck dot on the sreen. Check one more time is it any dust on the screen.
Black spot Means pixel of the Lcd sreen is fault. There are thousands of pixels in an lcd screen. when any of the pixel or a group of pixels become faulty the black spot will appear. Its not possile to rectify the problem other than replacing the LCD panle if its avilable. The avilability of lcd screen is very rare.

Unhooked monitor, tossed it in the dumpster and bought a Dell monitor at Walmart. Problem fixed! :)

sounds like the mainboard is damaged.

replace the mainboard and that should solve your problem.

how do u get webcam to work on comeputers ?

Sometimes the function keys get depressed by accident and it takes away your display. Press the FN+F5 and FN+F6 three times each and see if your display comes back on.

things like that happen if you drop it,have you dropped it before?
