OUTER GLASS SHATTERED ON MICROWAVE MODEL #JMC8130DDS-CAN YOU GET GLASS MADE TO REPLACE SINCE PART IS NO LONGER AVAILALBLE
Hi,
This door is radius and would be difficult to replace. Repair clinic claims the part is due in at the end of this month, I wish you luck on your search. I have not seen someone make this correctly as the metal supports at the bottom are attached to the glass and the stainless steel outer panel is just a panel stuck to glass.
Good luck

The inner glass can and should be replaced. It protects the metal mesh screen from getting dirty, which can cause it to be damaged and allow microwave leakage. This is a problem that at least a few others have experienced with your microwave and may be the subject of a recall although I could find nothing on their website.
I would definitely go to Siemens first as this definitely sounds like a manufacturers defect. Even if they have not publicly stated this in a recall, they likely know it is happening and may fix it (even out of warranty) if you push. ConsumerReports.org may be interested... I would talk to them if you don't get any satisfaction from Siemens.
Otherwise, the glass should be standard tempered glass that a local glass shop can get if you bring the door to them, or just a sample of the broken glass (for thickness) along with the internal dimensions of the glass.
Make sure that the metal mesh/screen remains in place and is not damaged, as this is what prevents the microwaves from escaping the cooking chamber.
