Our Mitsubishi WS 55613 TV has a contant blinking green light and will not turn on. We have unplugged it for hours and when we plug it back in the light starts to blink again. We have tried the system reset button- when you let off the light blinks again and the TV will still not turn on. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank You!
Hmm I tried unplugging it for a while but I will try this again tonight since it will be unplugged for about 24 hours.
Thank you McColp for the info..
I have a service guy coming tomorrow, maybe this will work before he comes! I appreciate your help!
take care

Yes I tried that as well. Nothing responded. Reset button didn't work. Leaving it off for 2 days and then trying the rest button all proved to be unsuccessful.
I tried all the manual references and I even called Mitsubishi. It was a waste of time and they tried to insult me by saying it "wasn't a common problem", yet hundreds of posts on websites with people having similar issues come up.
The repair man will charge me 300 dollars to fix it so I decided to go that route. Hopefully that will solve it.
thanks again for your links and advice!

I had a local repair man come and fix it last year.
I 'm not sure where you live, but I'm in Southern California, Orange County.
He was very good and reasonable. My problem was DM board and the power supply. He fixed both for around 300 dollars. His name is Phillip and his # is
(949) - five-one-zero--seven-eight-four-eight.
He has a heavy accent but is super nice and very efficient. My brother has had him fix
a few tv's as well so our family has referred to him more than a few times.
He used to own a shop, but now works our of his home.
I hope this helps! I understand how disappointing those darn Mitzubishi's are!

Thanks vman7mm !
No the operation was not normal and a broken power supply and bad DM board was replaced
a year ago by a local repair man for 300 bucks. At least it was not terribly expensive.
My tv has been working ok for a year now * keeping my fingers crossed*.
thanks for your comment

This is in reference to solution #4. These people have a legitimate problem with their Tv's. What you are explaining is normal operation. It no way is a Mits suppose to start blinking for 10,20,80 minutes or 2 days after you plug them in or system reset rendering the power button useless. That is not normal operation.
I am from Louisville, KY and called the local Mitsubishi approved repair man and told him that he problem was that the light was blinking and my tv would not turn back on.
He knew immediately what the problem was and came out and fixed it within an hour. He took off the back of the TV and on the "board" replaced the four "power caps" on the board, by removing the old ones and soldering these in the place. He cleaned off the lenses while we had the back off. He also showed me how to do a manual color convergence (very easy..see manual). The TV came back up and my picture is better than ever.
Service call was $69.95. Total with parts and labor was $170.
I'm very pleased!!!
Ready to copy?? The solution is replace four bad caps in DM
module 1000mf /25v high temp 105 degree.........details @

If you unplug the mitsu tvs they can take a fe minutes to bootup. If the light is blinking and you eventually get a screen then take the tv out of low power mode. If it does not come back on use the system reset button and wait a few minutes for the light to stop blinking and then try to power on.
If you still can get the tv back after the system reset cal 800-332-2199

I have the same problem as of yesterday. Constant flashing green light, won't turn on and does not respond to resetting. It was a 2500 tv and I've had it for 3 years and 2 months. Not happy at All with Mitsubishi.
Cost of repair may be too high. Ive heard from two technicians at work that its not worth it and buy a new one! Any suggestions or service centers in the Huntington Beach Area would be appreciated. Thanks!
Maria,
Have you had your TV fixed? Can I have the name and number of your TV repairman? So far I cannot find someone who will troubleshoot the DM board- which seems to be what is the problem- everyone just wants to replace it for $650+. If your guy trouble shot and fixed your DM board- I might send mine to him for service. If he found it was not the DM board can you tell me what he discovered? Your help would be greatly appreciated! I do not want to spend another couple thousand dollars to replace my 3 year old TV. Thanks
Sarah
I have the same problem with the blinking green light. I have pushed the reset button and the power button. I have also turned tv off for about a half an hour and tried the reset and power button again and light still blinks. What is the problem? Thank you.
