My Motorola Moto Q only freezes when I try to text. It works with everything else and it has been working for a long time. Until recently it won't let me type anything when I am trying to text someone. That is the only time it freezes. I have to turn it off and on again until I can do anything! I am angry. What do I do to fix it? I can still call people but I know that I can't text and yes my plan lets me text. Unlimited. I don't know why I suddenly had this problem.
Maybe going out? Call customer service and get to the tech support side. Maybe they can help?

You'll have to remove the battery. I had this similar problem with my Moto q9c. I ended up replacing the battery and haven't had the problem since.

I have had this problem as well and i have found that if i turn off my phone at least once at day for a minute or two at least my screen wont freeze nearly as often... you could always try to start doing that, if not im sorry i dont know what to tell you. i think im going to have to take mine back to alltel for other problems
