My son cracked the screen on his kocaso 9inch tablet. Can I replace the glass and where can I find it?
Kocaso says "The manufacturer does not cover accidental damage, but we instituted a program where you can turn your tablet with a cracked screen in (as long as you are still within your warranty period. The nice thing about this is that not only are we the least expensive route when you crack your screen, but you do not have to wait for repairs. We simply send a replacement once we receive your damaged one.

SOURCE: i got a crack on the screen of my hp tablet
the same thing happened to mine, and i thought i was out a laptop because i couldnt afford the repairs. after it had been sitting a while i figured i had nothing to lose by operating on it. i followed the hp service manual to remove the display panel, then took that apart. the screws are trickily hidden behind rubber stickers that blend into the plastic. i removed the frame, lifted the plastic cover, then carefully removed the broken glass pieces. i thought i was compromising the tablet pc features when i tore the glued perimeter of the glass. i figured a regular laptop was better than no laptop. be careful not to tear the tab attached to the copper piece on the side of the screen. also be gentle with the lcd screen. when i put it back together, i was amazed, but the touchscreen was still intact - it must be a component behind the lcd screen. i plan on replacing the glass with plexiglass to prevent another mishap, but i thought id share that this problem can be solved free of charge in just a few careful hours. good luck!

Can't exactly help you, but I'm in the same situation. I got a crack across the middle of the screen on my 43 while it was in my pocket. It seems like this might be a problem with the gen 8 tablets, but Archos is currently refusing to consider it defective.

You COULD replace it yourself, but i would highly recommend you get a tech to do it for you. The reason i say this is because electronics repair is a tricky business, fraught with dangers on the micro- and nanoscopic level. Unless you are handy with a screwdriver and own a ESD (electro-static discharge) bracelet, get a tech to do it. As for replacement parts? try ebay. thats where i get all of my stuff.
I have the same issue. I called Zeki people and they wanted to charge me almost the same amount I paid for it to get a new screen. Apparently that is the most high tech part of the whole thing. I have ordered a tablet on ebay that was not working due to a faulty plug and I'm hopping I can swap them out. I can let you know how it works out if you haven't already bought a new one.

yes but hardware and labor will exceed cost of a new unit unless you do the repair yourself I am sorry. You can see if you can find one that is damaged but has an operable screen, that makes it cheaper good luck questions just ask
