Power on your printer. Press the menu of your printer then sect the arrow down or up to select the language menu. press ok if u have seen language then go to option select from german to english.
Please rate the solution after you have tried it so that I can assess you more on this problem.

I have Brother DCP-130C all in one Printer.
When I installed the
software I chose English as the language, but when i am scanning &
when i go into printing preferences it seems to be in German. I
un-installed & re-installed but still not in English.
Any ideas how I can change the language to english please?

Go to the Brothers website and download the latest software for your machine. In the process it will ask you what language you prefer, choose English and then your menus from that point on should be in English.

Keep navigating through the menus on the printer's LCD screen.
Open your web-browser to:
http://www.google.ca/language_tools?hl=en
which lets you type in text, in German, and Google will translate it to English (or Klingon), so that you can read each sub-menu, and make the correct "click" to reset the printer's language.
