I have the same problem,it's the little electric cables that are broken,and have no contact by opening fully.
I'm going to try to open the camera,we will see.....

Try removing the battery to reset it. SAlso check that none of the buttons are sticking. I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.
