Recently my wife bought a verizon blackberry 9530 storm phone with 2 months contact and she also paid contract discontinuing charges to end the agreement. The verizon people said that the phone is unlocked now and it can be used in any gsm sim. When she came back to bangladesh where we live, I found that the global connection is active and I can use that network for voice call in home and abroad as well, but no internet or browsing facility is there. I then used a local sim and selected gsm network. The phone shows the network name but also shows 'invalid sim' message.
I tried in several ways with my minimum knowledge, but failed to connect my local gsm sim.
Can anybody help me to solve my problem? I am dying to use it.

Looks like your phone still locked for particular network and you must unlock it first, before you can use your local sim card. To unlock blackberry storm, you must have blackberry unlock code for verizon network and you can purchase that code at third party sites on internet.
Go to BlackBerryMEP.COM and buy
an unlock code, they will send unlock code along with unlocking
instructions in 5 minutes .
