Most radio scanners these days have software that you can program from your PC etc, You will also need a cable, if not supplied. Check at the Uniden website. However you should be able to program it manually. Again the instructions that came with it? should tell you how.
Normally a scanner can be programed to scan between two frequencies ie 144 to 146 for the 2mtr amateur band etc
or you can program channels.

Hi, I want to install both fujitsu fi 5750c and 5530C2 Scanners in same PC. OS is win XP. I tried through setup, but when one is installed, second one's setup says already having Scanner Utility...

Hi,

There is no need of installing driver for fi-5530c2 scanner as the driver comes bendled in the fi-5750c scanner. Hence, please install the driver for fi-5750c.On the application, you need to chnage the scanner model under "Select Scanner" menu.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Thanks & regards,

I have a uniden bearcat portable and base I cant figure out how to program it

With the scanner powered ON,

1. Press [HOLD].
“HOLD” appears on the
display.
2. Press [PROG]. CH appears
and blinks to indicate that you
are in the Programming Mode.
To change the displayed frequency,
use [UP] or [DOWN]
while “CH” is blinking.
3. Press [PRIVATE]. “PRIVATE”
appears on the display.
If you want to program it into
another bank, press the
desired bank key. The lowest
open channel appears on the
display.
2 screens alternate to indicate
that open channel is available
to be programmed.
The scanner automatically
selects the lowest open
channel (000.0000) for easy
programming. If all channels
have been programmed (there
are no open channels in the
bank), channel 1 appears.
Use [UP] or [DOWN] to select
a new channel and even overwrite
old channels.
4. Press [PROG] to store the
frequency in the desired
channel.
Note: Press [BAND] to escape
from programming mode before
step 4.

Need the manual? You can download/print it here:

Having major issues with programming my bearcat bc60xlt-1

You'll need to program the radio frequencies into your scanner before it will scan . For a list of frequencies in Anoka County CLICK HERE .
For specific programing instructions for your UNIDEN refer to your owner's manual. They will give you a step by step instruction on how to program the frequencies into your scanner memory (If you need a manual, CLICK HERE
...be sure to select the scanner option on their pull-down menu.
THEN when you have the radio frequencies stored into your scanner, you'll be able to press scan and away you go.
Be sure to adjust the squelch just high enough to eliminate the static...turn the squelch counterclockwise until you hear loud static, then turn Clockwise just enough to silence static...
Let us know if you still have trouble.

I bought the scanner usb cable and cant figure out how to get new codes to program my scanner.

You will also need a software package to program your scanner. Unfortunately the cable does not come with the software. Try going to www.starrsoft.com and download a program called Win97. It is free for 30 days and makes programming a breeze and it can also interface with radioreference.com (if you are a paying subscriber to the radioreference.com site) to download automatically. If you don't mind doing a little typing, you can view the info on the site for free and enter it into the program.

I need a driver for an acer 6678-owe flatbed scanner for windows vista

I searched pretty hard and couldn't find any Vista drivers. I assume that scanner is relatively old. You can try this, but I don't know if your scanner has software:

Go to Start, then Control Panel, Programs, and under Program Features you'll see something that says "Use an older program with this version of Windows." Try messing with that and see if you can figure anything out. But I'm pretty sure there are no Vista drivers for that scanner.
