DO NOT turn the gen. on any more...you might damage the crank or worse..
hold the crank still by pulling the starting handle and tightening it to one of the red bars(the point of this is to restrict crank movement...you can try anything as long as the crank stays still) then rotate the armature (you might need to dislocate the stator for that purpose).if it got rotated then your crank is fine...and the problem is either with the screw that holds the armature or the armature's screw hole.
that is if the armature rotated easily...if you felt or heard weird things while spinning...then am afraid something inside the engine is damaged..but if the engine is running fine then the last idea mostlikely is not whats wrong.
