I had the same power button problem and followed the advice above and it worked perfectly. I folded a piece of cardstock around the power button, pushed it in, so it was jammed in the 'on' position. Then removed the cardstock to see if it stuck in position.
Eventually after 3-4 tries I was able to remove the cardstock and the power button stayed in the 'on' position without it. Hopefully this helps anyone else with a similar problem.
This also helped me. Thanks
Alright, I fixed my power button problem through sheer dumb luck. This may or may not work for you.
I was trying to find a way to keep the power button depressed and the machine turned on so I took a plastic electrical plug cover you'd use for child proofing your home as the prongs are just the right size and made of soft bendable plastic.
So I jammed one of the prongs into the space between the power button and it's surrounding (I tried the right side of the power button) and pushed the electrical plug cover until it pushed in the power button (the other plastic prong of the plug cover ending up being bent flat with the surface of the washer control panel).
I guess this wiggled my power button back into a position that it's stays on when pressed.
As I said, I totally fluked out fixing my power button by jamming something into it's groove while depressing the power button.
It's been a few days and my power button is working normally.
Hopefully this works for you as well.

i have the same problem as you, its really annoying.
can somebody help me???
thanks
I have the same problem. I turned off the washer during the spin cycle and now the power button won't stay on.
Had the same problem with the Power button staying on after interrupting a cycle (this has happened before). I tried the solution posted below - however I jammed the button on the right side with a business card folded in half. With the power on I pushed the Start button and the washer began selected cycle and power stayed on after I removed the card. A solution that seems to work!
