Netflix is a streaming service that runs as an application on an internet capable smart tv or similar device. Choices for stand-alone hardware include "AppleTV" "Google Chrome" they will connect to your tv and your wifi to stream content. You will still need to register for an account. If you have Sony PlayStation or Xbox they also have Netflix apps. If you have a smart tv you should either already have it in your tv app list or be able to download it from the connected App Store.
You need the netflix app on the tv or a device that is hooked to the tv to be able to stream netflix. You also need a subscription to netflix to do so.
I think you have to create an account on line and then connect your device to your account not sure but I think that's right hope that helps Merry Christmas
To watch Netflix you need a (Netflix subscription of course) and a Smart TV with the Netflix app running or if you have an older TV you will need a streaming device like Amazon Fire TV http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GDQ0RMG?ref_=ods_gw_d_h1_tv_montoya_dualUR
which plugs into your HDMI port to access Netflix via a wireless internet connection. The setup is pretty easy. Hope this is helpful.
"this device is not enabled to play this protected content netflix" Getting same message on both Sony and Insignia Blu Ray players so this looks like a Netflix issue. This message is supposed to occur when you have more than 6 devices (PC, Blu Ray...etc) on your Netflix account. Looks like something is amiss with Netflix's device counter. You can see what devices you have registered on this link https://www.netflix.com/Player/unregister_device And un register any if you have too many.
