If your TV doesn't have a USB port, adding one is going to be more expensive than a new TV.
You could connect up a computer to the TV, and use the USB port on the computer.

Vizio doesn't support phone connect - only USB drive (ie thumbdrive type) - With correct USB, TV will show USB as a 'Source' - and if selected will show the files on the USB, but can only open / view folders, images, and video types.

Usually you play a movie that is stored on your USB ram disk that will plug into the USB port of your TV. The movie will then load into the TV's CPU via the USB port with both video and audio signals decompressed from within the TV's CPU, then the image will be displayed on TV while the audio will be output through the TV's speakers. Make sure software was in top menu in USB stick. Not ib a folder. Try reset buttons on front of TV. Could be bad e2p module. (boot firmware.)

I believe your TV has 2 USB ports on it. If you have equipment connected to the other USB port, that port will get priority and the TV will ignore your flash stick. Turn off your tv, disconnect everything on your USB ports then insert the flash stick. Power on the TV and hopefully you can see the flash stick.
