SOURCE: walkie talkie problem

That would depend on what is wrong with the radio(s) Most GMR radios are through away's. The average bench time for a repair on a single radio is anywhere from $70 - $100 dollars and thats not including parts. Some manufactuers have a flate rate charge to repair thier product. you might try that avenue.

SOURCE: hello i have a Uniden GMR-325 (7 Channels) Two Way Radio that....

Hi Zachary
I predict that you have trouble with only one unit.
Try to find some one with either the same units ( on same Frequency of course) or a receiver that also covers same Frequency and transmit on one GMR then the other to esablish which unit is faulty!
The faulty unit should then become apparent, the buzzing could be caused by transmisson of the faulty unit, check all Antenna connections, even change antennas over on testing as prescribed above,
good luck John.

Columbia walkie talkie wont connect to the other one

Hi,
Are you trying to connect a Columbia to another Columbia or to anther Make of walkie talkie radio?

No two makes are quite the same and slight differences can make all the difference, even if they were the same brand/make, different models can also impact on connectivity.

I hope this answers your query

Cheers,
Peter

Walkie talkies were working yesterday (gift from Christmas) and today the red power light is on indicating both working, but we can only get sound out of one of them.....any suggestions? brand new...

Hello,
These walkie talkies are pretty simple to use. Turn on and turn the volume up and talk. So if you turn it on it is possible for there to be enough juice in the batteries to make the LED function but not enough to modulate (or talk) to the other walkie talkie. Have you tried to replacing the batteries with new ones yet? Sometimes recharge ables go bad and they are no good when you install them into your item. So make sure the batteries you installed are "new." And replace in both units. Should this not work, given the nature of the item and the age of those who will more than likely be using them, they break and soldier joints come loose. The back has a screw that is a specialty tool to remove. Outside of removing that and taking a look there is not much that can be done. Make sure to put at least 5 feet between the two radios to allow for good reception.

When i try To walkie-talkie it wont work

They do not have signal to receive the walkie talkie service. Try texting them and telling them to get in an area where they can get better service. Walkie Talkie coverage is very spotty.

How do I make it work

It depends on the channels on the walkie talkies.

Can you supply the frz range of the TRC, and walkie talkies make and model and I will try and get the frez on the channels for you.

I can then tell if it will work or not.

Walky talky

A walkie talky as we called them, back when we were younger - and hell we probably still do in some respects, hence the fact my friend still refers to her cordless phone as a "walkie talky" and the principals haven't changed that much.

The common old Walkie Talky or CB radio use what we call a half duplex, that means only one person can talk at a time. We are talking and listening on the same channel.

Cell phones are full duplex, meaning two way conversation, and this is simply listening on one channel whilst talking on another, so the basic principal is basically the same, just a little more sophisticated.

Walkie-talkie typically has one channel
CB radio has 40 channels.
Cell phone
can communicate on 1,664 channels or more!

I have included a link to a circuit diagram.
