Tie the park brake wire to ground permanently. This will bypass the safety feature. You can do it right at the unit., cut the wire short, and jumper it over to ground. Installers usually won't do this as it is a liability.

You'll have to reencode the videos to a supported codec. There are literally dozens of mp4 codecs. Try redoing them using Xvid or Divx.
