SOURCE: error message "push the reset switch"

Set the cam. to whatever you're going to do, record or play. Check the DV tape record/play tab is in the correct position. Turn cam on. open clamshell; insert tape correctly and always push PUSH to close and start the loading sequence.

A couple of things to avoid. When playing a tape, never press tape rewind without pressing stop tape first, the cam. will likely jam. Reported here early last year.

Make sure the cam. strap is pulled clear of the clamshell when opening it. It needs to open fully to start the transport opening sequence. Don't repeatedly load and unload the tape without running it

SOURCE: push the reset switch

The means that the powerup self test is not completing successfully. If there is no error indication in the viewfinder, this unit will need to see a Panasonic servicer for repair.

SOURCE: Camera says to push Reset switch. Problem

There are connection issues on your main PCB. We have been successful in solving this issue by repairing multiple connections on the main board and then applying a special antioxidant grease to the connectors. This repair should be done by an experienced technician.

Pioneer system says caution: screen may appear reversed? was working all day i went to walmart and it was fine then as i started my car when i was leaving this appeared with a black screen

That is the message you get when you are connected to a backup camera. When you put the car in reverse it will switch automatically if you have the reverse trigger hooked up. you can also switch to the camera while driving and use it as a rear view cam. Some backup cameras actually reverse the image while some do not. If you don't have a backup camera you need to turn that source off and it will stop appearing. I had the same unit in my car with the camera and it was great. Pioneer makes a nice camera but you can find a number of them from other makers that are just as good.

Error message "push the reset switch"

Pull the battery out to reset it. Get a DV tape cleaner to clean out the tape deck.

That should solve both.

'Remove the Tape' message

if you havent found a solution already, basically it means your camera is screwed up and has dirt or something inside it. so you have to take it to a service centre. :)
