try repeated pressure to reset (5-6 times in 10 sec) or could see if there is a small hole near battery compartment, push with paperclip (button reset)
Body Fat/Bone Density Scales and the like can be just about impossible to program without having the instruction manual. However, changing unit of measurement is usually very easy. Just look for a manual switch on the bottom of the unit, often found in the top left corner. You may need a pen or similar item to change the setting.
Old batteries (which were low) seemed to work but brand new batteries caused the screen to flash (just lights, no numbers). I changed one battery at a time, and when it started flashing on me again - for some reason removing and re-inserting the middle battery - now it works properly again. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY, but it works now for me. Other than this electronics issue when switching the batteries, the scale is great.

You will need a Phillips #1 and I think a #0 for best fit. 2032 lithium coin battery (fresh, so it will last another 10 years).
1) Peel off large label from bottom (Xacto knife to get under a corner).
2) Remove 3 screws attaching pan to mechanism. Use magnitized P0 screwdriver here.
3) Remove 4 rubber feet, and four P1 screws under them.
4) Opposite side of display from the button is the black battery case. Use P0 screwdriver to remove three screws. Replace battery.
5) Put back together...
Don't mess with the mechanism inside (at least not if you want a calibrated scale) any more than you have to while changing the battery.
The zero capture is out of the 2percent tolerance so the cell is either faulty or requires zeroing. Open the unit and press the micros itch on the left of the board. The display flashes s. Press the zero key to change to flashing E. Press store to scroll to zero balance. Press semi auto tare. This captures zero without clearing the span calibration. The display will scroll around for a short period when complete press store.. Release the micro switch and scale will go thru warm up routine then display zero. Hope this helps, regs Darren.
