Having problem uninstalling "Genio"

Genio somehow installed itself via my browser (Safari) and I do not know how to uninstall it. I need help.

Genieo is spyware and is almost impossible to completely remove for the average user. It is a parasite.
Go to the folder where it is installed and see if there is an un-installer there. Or you can using registry editor to remove the registry entries of the software. Be cautious because this may damage your system if any essential key is incorrectly deleted (The removal instructions in this post may be helpful). Hi - everyone has problems getting rid of that software:
Adware Removal Guide Genieo This is the long and possibly the only way to do it. The software removal provided by Genio does not remove the software completely.

Why safari doesn't open??
please uninstall and reinstall the safari browser.
Please remove it from the registry. Steps are:-

Start-->run-->regedit-->HKeyLocal Machine-->Software-->Safari

Delete the entries of safari and then install the browser.
