Sounds like the problem could be in the power supply of the TV. Have a technican check for defective capacitors if you're not equipped to do the job yourself.
I had the exact same problem. Boombox flashing blue, but not rapidly flashing blue. I did two things that seemed to fix it:
1: Reset the device by switching it on, then holding both volume up and volume down buttons at the same time for 10 seconds. The blue flashing light will briefly flash quicker to confirm.
2: Switch off the boom box
3: Switch on using the power button and (very important) immediately press and hold the Bluetooth button. The Bluetooth button needed pressing and holding almost instantaniously after the power button for it to work for me. I had to try several times to get it to work.
When you do this successfully, the Bluetooth light starts flashing rapidly and it enters search mode.
I nearly threw my speakers away, now it works and connects fine :)
the transformer for the backlight is usually what fails on the elements especially if the logo comes up briefly then the screen goes out. I would check the transformers.
What color is the power light when the system shuts off?
Red: If the power light is red, or flashing red, when the system turns off, then the system's battery needs to be charged.
Blue: If the power light is blue when the
system turns off, then there appears to be a problem with the system and
it will need to be repaired.
If the orange recharge indicator light blinks while the system is
plugged in and charging, then it is likely that the battery is not
installed properly.
If you have ensured that the battery is installed properly but the orange
light still blinks, check to make sure that the battery is a licensed
by Nintendo. The only licensed Nintendo DSi battery will have the model
number "TWL-003" (Nintendo DSi) or "UTL-003" (Nintendo DSi XL) and will

does it display a picture for a few seconds before it goes blank. or do you not get any picture?.
