I can get all 3 timers to start but the heated automatic dry portion does not time out. the dial doesnt even turn while it's running
That model number doesn't come up,you sure that isn't the serial number?also does the dryer have heat, when you run it on time dry the timer just counts down like a clock, when on auto or more or less the heat comes on until the dryer heats to temp. the heat shuts off and the timer will advance, when the heat comes back on the timer stops moving,it will do this until the clothes are dry,if you do have heat you could have a bad sensor or a bad cycling thermostat but you'll have to check it with a meter.send the model number and i can help you better.

SOURCE: My dryer works but no heat
On the backside near the bottom of the element is a limit that has 3 wires. The smaller wire goes up to the timer and it powers up the timer motor in the auto cycle. On the blower housing is a cycling thermistat with 4 wires.(2 small and 2 big wires) The 2 smaller wires are connected to a tiny heater in the cycle thermistat. To get from cotton to permapress we simply heat up the little old heater and the cycle thermistat shuts down faster. Clever heh? Where wuz I? OK: While the heater is fired up the timer motor will not move. When the heater stops working the timer moves forward. So as the clothes get dryer, the heater comes on less and less and the timer motor gets more and more power till finally the heater is no longer is needed. Then the timer goes on over to the end. Pretty dang clever ain't it? Well what can go wrong? The cycling thermistat is causing the limit to control the heat( you would know because the clothes would be all hot and wrinkly) OR the vent to outside is clogged. As a result the smaller Hi limit atop the heater chamber is blown. a Replace the control thermistat AND that 3 wire limit on the bottom of the heaterlong with it's very blown little cousin atop the heater chamber.. Oh yeah. Remove the vent pipe and get the gunk out:

SOURCE: Gas dryer not maintaining heat. 70 Series Kenmore/Whirlpool 76722
Fuse is ok . Problem is the soils on the burner valve . If the dryer heats when started , the electricity goes thru the coils to open the valve . Once the coils get warm , 1 will open (short) until it cools back down . The coils can be replaced just by removing the front panel . Only 2 screws hold the coils in place . No turning off gas , dissasembling dryer .

The problem is either the timer malfunctioning or the dryer motor is faulty. The timer may have a dead spot and the dryer stops whenever the timer comes to that point. The dryer motor is may also be locking up and stops thereby making no dryer function work. Necessary electrical check must be done to test the motor. You may fiddle with the timer knob to possibly clear any dead spot. Also check the timer if it continues to run when the dryer stops. Try holding the push-to-start button to see if the dryer still stops.
