Missed something, Part of the maintenance kit is the developer and also the drum unit, you will need to change the 1/8th amp fuse in the developer assembly, and also the chip inside the drum unit.
Farnell stock both, the fuses are p/n: 446-816 and the serial eeprom chip is p/n: 690-650
This isnt the exact chip that kyocera use as they use a 93LC56B, but the ones that i have fitted before are 93C46 -these seem to work just the same.
10871087 to enter service mode. There are 2 maint. kits for the 300ci. One for color and one for mono. If you were able to perform a maintenance then you should be well versed on which adjustments to make and which counters to reset. If not you can cause major problems so be careful.
1-5-5 Developing section (1) Detaching and refitting the developing unit Procedure 1. Open the front cover. 2. Remove the developing unit. 3. Check or replace the developing unit and refit all the removed parts. NOTE: When the periodic maintenance (replacing the maintenance kit, see page 2-4-4), perform following maintenance modes. 1. U251 Clearing the maintenance count (see page 1-3-39) 2. U111 Clearing the drum drive time (see page 1-3-33) 3. U130 Initial setting for the developing unit (see page 1-3-34)
It could be a fuser, drum, developer, or transport belt problem among other things. The FS-C5016N is an old model color printer and if the maintenance kit has not been replaced it probably should be. THe maintenance kit contains the items above along with a few others.
Hi Did you run up the developer unit? Menu button down to Other then to Service and press enter on developer and switch off and turn on will run for a while. In the service menu after you run up the dev unit you may have a option in there to press enter on the MK Symbol.
Cheers
