HDD, SYS board, Setting 1. Turn the power of the equipment OFF and check the

- Connector and harness check
- Check if the connector pins of the HDD are bent.
- Check if HDD for other equipment is not installed.
- Check if SRAM for other equipment is not installed.

2. If the error still occurs after step 1, perform the following.
- Perform HS-73 Firmware Assist mode -> Key

"OK".
- If not, recover the key (press [Key] and select the
menu, and then press [Execute]).

3. If the error still persists after step 2, perform the
following.
- Perform HS-73 Firmware Assist mode -> Format

If F101_1 occurs with secure HDD or the error
persists after performing step 3, perform step 3 after
performing HS-74 HDD Assist mode -> Revert

4. If the error persists even after step 3, replace the HDD.

5. If the error persists even after step 4, replace the HDD

Hi I have Panasonic camcorder hoc-hs700 when turn on camra after few second later message on screen hdd error occurred please turn off unit and on again I have done that several time .but not luck pl

Hello there .
Well according to a manual,
Sounds like the Hard Drive is faulty.
"ERROR OCCURRED. PLEASE TURN UNIT OFF, THEN TURN ON AGAIN." is displayed.

The unit has automatically detected an error. Restart
the unit by turning the power off and on.

The power will be turned off in about 1 minute if the
power is not turned off and on.

Repair is needed if it is repeatedly displayed even if it is restarted. Detach the power connected, contact consumer support. ( Do not attempt to repair the unit by yourself

So......why not try a FORMAT of the Hard disk drive which seems to be at fault....nothing to lose friend Worth a try !!!!

Receiving error code C-E301

I just found this on the knowledge base it refers to this code when the hdd is replaced and internal data is different it may be a faulty hdd but there is a firmware in reference to this code.
Error C-E301 occurs for mismatching in the internal data as HDD is changed.
C-ED01 will be displayed as the mismatch in the internal data occurs as HDD is changed.
HDD Format will be necessary when this trouble is displayed.

I have Acer Aspire One ZG5 installed with Windows XP. My computer show the windows boot screed and reboots after Blue error screen is displayed. The computer also ask for safe mode boot but the problem...

Hello

OK, i had this exact error on my other laptop yesterday, sorry to say, but you will need to format the computer and reinstall windows XP. If there is data on the HDD you would want to keep, you will need to plug your HDD into another computer and backup the data before you format.

Kind regards

My segate 300Gb HDD keeps asking to format it when i recently pluged it into a new computer to transfer data to and it said that the driver didnt install correctly. since then it keeps asking to forma

I'm assuming that this was functioning at one point. If you are using Windows, Right click on my computer and click "Manage" Then go to disk management? Does it see the drive at all. If so, has a letter been assigned? It is possible that the operating system will show the drive even if it can't read the data. Look to see what file system and how it sees the disk having been partitioned. It is possible that your partition table has been corrupted. This can possibly be fixed using a tool like disk doctor or fdisk.

If, on the other hand, the drive is also making funny noises, you may have a mechanical failure on the drive.

Re: A Disk Read Error Occured. Press CTRL ALT DEL to restart

1 - Have you tried a different IDE cable?
If not give it a go and do a repair if needed again!

2 - You may have a corrupt MBR (master boot record)!! You will need to reformat and do Fdisk /mbr to delete the master boot record!! Save all data first as this will not allow you to access any of your data as all file location addresses are located in the MBR!!

3 - Your harddrive may have a bad sector get a zerofill tool(low level formatting tool)!! This will rewrite you HD's sectors putting them back to factory spec's!! Maxtors is called Maxblast you can get it from thier site!!

4 - or it could be a defective drive, but most read errors are due ot corrupt MBR or a bad sector!! Good Luck D.i.l.i.p
