I have a Maytag MSD2142ARW side by side and it has been steadily gettingwarmer on the fridge side. The freezer appears to be cooling fine and I know the fridge gets its cool from the freezer side. The fan is working good but the cross vent that allows the air to come over to the fridge side doesn't seam to have any flow and I've checked for obstructions and its all clear. I've even pulled the fridge out and vacummed the back for dust and checked the drain pan as well, all clear. What could I be missing?

HI, your Temperature Control Module has failed. it controls the air flow and vent(damper) action. replacing the temp control mod will fix this issue you are having at this time.

After defrosting the freezer it will not cool

Don't panic about the hot sides of the freezer. It is quite common on all the freezer (make/model).

After defrosting, your removing the full temerature out of the system. It will take atleast 30 ~ 60 mins to come back to set temperature. This again depends on the load inside.

My Maytag msd2756geb freezer is too cold.

Hi,
You are probably right that it is always running. This is because the thermostat/sensor has gone bad. The fridge adjusts by a door that allows air to come from the freezer to the fridge side. Therefore this will still work...
You will need to replace or have the thermostat replaced....

Found water leaking from our maytag side by side model MSD2142ARW. Disconnected ice maker 4 weeks ago thinking it was that, and still leaking and has ruined my new laminate floors. Is the freezer gasket or...

The defrost drain hole in the freezer side is frozen closed.
Turn off the fridge.Remove the bottom bin and look on the back wall of the freezer for the drain pan. It will have a block of ice in it. Use a hair dryer to defrost the pan AND the drain hole inside the pan, until you can pour a cup of water through the drain hole.

Fridge freezer side by side running constantly but not cooling.

Make it a habit to defrost it every week. You see, when ice forms around the evaporator tubes (which runs around the walls of fridge and freezer), heat exchange reduces (that means heat is no longer absorbed from the things inside the refrigerator) and cooling stops. See whether freezer walls or fridge walls are damaged. Do not use knives or any other sharp tools to remove ice. Do not forcefully remove items that are difficult to take out from the freezer. Defrost and remove them.

I have a maytag side by side refrigerator freezer and the lower part of the freezer where the cooling coils are freeze up and won't allow the air to cool the refrigerator side.

Sound as though you need a defrost timer that is located around temp control and light in fridge side.If it is faulty it will not go into a defrost making the freezer ice up and cause alot of trouble.hope i helped thanks:)

Fridge wont cool but frezer is fine

looks like you have a problem with the damper control. try to locate the sensor for the damper control and relocate it, if still not cold, replace it.

My freezer is hot!

It is normal for the freezer or fridge walls to be hot sometimes, some important points are to make sure that there is enough ventillation around the fridge/freezer, especcially the back, so that air can circulate around it freely. Also maybe just check that there hasn't been anything fallen down the back blocking the vent, and that there isn't a dust collection or anything. Otherwise as far as I know this is normal.
