I have just purchased a Brother 4050 printer. The color rendition is completely off. Red prints as orange, blue is green, etc. When printing in B/W everything is OK. Duplexing works fine. Color is way off.
I have other color lasers that print from the same computer and color is OK. What am I not doing or setting?
SOURCE: Printer doesn't recognize red cartridge
The ink cartridge is either either clogged or running out of ink. Run the software cleaning utility (almost always accessible from the printer) in order to fix a clog. Replace the ink cartridge if the clog cannot be fixed or if the cartridge is almost empty.

Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
SOURCE: Bends envelopes in printing
Most laser printers have an "S" paper path. They cannot help bending paper. I would suggest you print lables instead of envelopes if you send several letters. If you only send 1, hand address the envelope. Not elegant ut it works.

Check to see if the correct colour is in the correct place in the printer. You may have the Cyan and Magenta mixed up
