HOW TO CHARGE BATTERY

It depends on the level of discharge of the battery and the rate of amperage charge generated by the charger. If possible check the fluid level (acid/water) in the battery. If it is too low the battery will not accept a charge. If you add water (distilled) to the battery you charge at a low amperage charge rate if possible. A fully discharged battery may take 12 - 24 hours to reach full charge.

It's possible your charger is faulty. If your unit can charge with a USB cord through a computer try that. If it charges then your charger is faulty. The charger can be tested with a voltmeter by someone knowledgeable. The other problem possible is that the charging receptacle is faulty. That would show up if the USB method doesn't work. If the charger is o.k. then your battery won't hold a charge and needs to be replaced.

1) Hand oil can cause a film on your battery contacts. Clean your battery contacts on both the radio and the charger with a pencil eraser and try seating the radio/battery on the charger again. Be certain the radio is turned off.
2) It is possible your battery is too low to charge. A form of jump starting would be to let the battery set on the charger for more than 3 hours to see if the light problem clears.
3) It is possible you have a bad or shorted battery. Try another known good battery on the charger to see if the charger reacts correctly with a solid red light at the beginning of a normal charge cycle.

This problem can be with the battery charging in your laptop.
Try charging the battery whether it is charging or not. Try to charge it for 3 hours & then try to start the system.

possible battery failure (wont take a charge) possible bad connections or faulty jumper cables.

It's possible to charge it, if it's not already damaged, just follow the steps bellow:
1) Remove the battery.
2) Give the battery and the phone a while to become dry (don't try to charge it will it's still wet as it can damage it).
3) Once that the phone is dry, put the battery into the phone again.
4) If it doesn't turn on, try to charge it.
5) If the charger gets hot and the phone doesn't start charging, disconect it and try to clean the connector inside using an old dry toothbrush to remove any possible short circuit.
6) If the problem persists take your phone to a repair center so they can open it and review it.

if it wont charge try another charger to first rule out your charger for faults then try another battery if it is a psp 3001 and still has enough battery to turn on switch it to usb charge and try that its possible that they have a separate charging circuit allowing you to bypass a potential fried charge circuit ps when they fully lose charge usb charging isn't possible ok

sounds like you have a bad battery or starter try to jump start or charge battery 1st

Try a full overnight charge and see how long the unit holds charge, normally this should be about 5 hours.

It is possible that your battery is faulty and not holding its charge this can happen with age or another fault that has occured.

You will need to get hold of a new battery or check out this website as it is possible to damage the screen if you don't do it correctly.

sounds like the battery may be bad. I would first suggest trying a replacement battery and see if it will charge if so problem solved; if however a replacement battery (that is known to be good) still does not work it is possible that your battery charger on your laptop has gone bad, which is possible but very rare.
