Mitsubishi 73"DLP wd-73638 won't turn on. After power goes off or unplugged set will not click on, no lights no nothing. We try the reset options, unplug for a minute, hold power button for 10 sec, etc... Each time it turns on with a different ritual. Now nothing is working from a power outage over the weekend.
In most cases, this can be due to curropted software [firmware]. Contact the authoriized service center for Mitsubishi. Please do not try to update the software by yourself. It is a very skilled work to this set. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Depending on what made the power outage, your power supply might have got fried. It might be as simple as a few capacitors blowing or a little more serious. I would suggest taking it to a repair shop. A power supply replacement will run you about 200-250. If its just a few capacitors, should be around 100.

The set works fine and will turn on and off with zero issue once we get it to turn on from power outage or being unplugged. This is the only time we have an issue with it otherwise a remote and or power button will turn it on and it works fine.
