How to install Windows Xp on Compaq Presario CQ40 Notebooks ?

Is there anyone who can help me in installing Windows Xp on Compaq Presario CQ40 Notebooks.
When i try to install Xp a blue screen appear after the drivers loaded for the setup it stops and bluse screen appears that plz check your hard drives for viruses or hard disk not present.
I have checked BIOS Setup for SATA enable disable but there is no option found in the BIOS.
My hard disk shows as ATA/ATAPI in the Device Manager.

Go to bios and go t o ide configuration advanced and disable sata.
Then u can start winxp setup.

Window xp not installed
CQ40 108TU (compaq) is designed to work only on Windows Vista. If XP is installed then likely some of the hardwares will malfunction. It is advised that only Vista is installed in YOUR CQ40 108TU
