My Fujitsu Asta12lcc (indoor unit) has stopped cooling, with both operation and timer lights flashing 5 times. What causes this error? Is this worth repairing, or so i need new unit?

I’m seeing 5 red 5 green flash is compressor failure. Not sure if this is your unit or not. Cycle power to outdoor unit 30seconds and resume. Start with a fan only operation no heat/cool. Let unit run, if no issue then begin and heat/cool cycle. If problem occurs then likely narrows issues to outside. Hope this helps!!

Samsung RS2630SH Side by Side Refrigerator not cooling down frig or freezer

Is the compressor running? If so, feel the discharge line is the line cold? If not the unit is probably out of Freon, which means it will have a leak somewhere in the system.

Setting timer on window unit to turn on and off

Hi Jessica Yacopino - Generally speaking, Frigidaire air conditioners timer option typically have the same procedure. The unit must be in the ON position for the timer delay stop option. For delay start, the unit must be in the OFF position. First, press time button. Then to adjust timer setting, tap or hold the UP arrow or the DOWN arrow to change delay timer at .5 hour increments, up to 10 hours, then by 1 hour increments up to 24 hours. The control will count down the time remaining until start (8, 7.5, 7, etc.). The Delay Start mode automatically selects cooling with maximum Fan Speed. The temperature maintained will be the same as previously set. To change the set temperature, press "COOL" then Up or Down arrows until the desired temperature is indicated on the display. After 5 seconds, the control will automatically change the display back to the hours remaining until the unit will start/stop. PRESSING the unit On/Off button at any time will cancel the Delay Start/Stop function. The Delay Start/Stop Feature will work until the unit either starts or stops. Once that happens the above steps have to be repeated again.

After a thunder storm my roof mounted Carrier cooling/heating unit stopped working and now does nothing. Changed the time delay fuses and checked the circuit breakers and they seem fine. Is there a reset...

Hi,
You may have a circuit board problem. Make sure you have power to the unit first. If you can, get on the roof take the access panel off to the electrical components. Most carrier circ boards have a flashing light display on the board itself. On the back of the panel you just took off should be a kiosk that tells you what the flashing means. If the light is dead, no color but you are sure there is power to the unit, the board is bad or there could be a fuse blown on the board. Most circ board fuses are a small 3 or 5 amp blade fuse mounted right on the circ board. I have seen many a carrier board burn out because of lightning. I hope this is not the case for you, as carrier boards are just a little expensive. Hope this helps you get some air back. Mark
