the clutch has no adjustment. the clutch is a hydraulic clutch,if you have a low clutch release then you may want to check the fluid in the reservoir on the left side of the engine compartment near the brake master cylinder. the clutch uses DOT 3 brake fluid.
sounds like a broken transmission mount, get a pry bar and stick it over the transmisson crossmember but under the transmisson and try to pry the transmisson upward, if it moves up and down replace the transmisson mount, if this isnt the problem my next guess would be the driveshaft u-joints, grab the driveshaft near the rear end and turn it back and forth to check for excessive play
After filling it should go into agatate if you tried a lid switch then I would check the motor coupler it may be broken or striped. Couplers are a common problem it's there to save the motor if it get hung up. While you have it out check the clutch and brake lineings. If the motor is runing it could be the agitator splines striped and wont turn.
If it has belts check them ,also pullys
That pretty much leaves the timer not likely and transmisson not likely but possible.
Should be on the front side of the transmission, where the trans and engine connect. Follow the line from the master cylinder (should be next to the brake Master) down to the transmisson, it will lead you to the slave. It should look like a roll fo quarters with a plunger sticking out that attatches to a lever that goes inside the bell housing.
I think you may be fighting the shift interlock with the brake pedal. Remember, to shift out of Park you need to step on the brake.
You might need someone to hold down the brake pedal while you try to realign the rod from underneath.
it can be the shift solenoid in the trans there is one for 1st and 2nd then there is one for 3rd and fourth easy to change drop pan they are right there.about 40 to 60 at dealer for solenoid and of course fluid and filter about 60.00
