I have an envision tv with no sound

Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Based on the brand parts may not be available and six years is better than average life for this type of set.

There are only two things that can cause this problem -inverter and T-con. Since you have already replaced the inverter, it can be nothing other than the T-CON or LCD controller. Replacing the same should resolve the problem. On a side note the inverter/T-Con problem can be isolated easily. The purpose of the inverter is only to light up the backlight of the panel. So when it fails you will still have a faint picture that can be seen if you flash a flashlight on the screen. If you would like me to find you the replacement T-con let me know the part number and I will get you the link to the part.

you need to hook up your sound thru the red and white outlets on the back of the tv to what ever source your using

you need to access the tv menu and do a channel search after changing it to AIR/Antenna instead of cable should work fine after that

I don't have a solution but the same thing happened to my 32" envision. The repairman said it was caused by a bad audio video signal board. To date, he has not found a new board.
Please post if you have, or do find a solution.

Check to make sure its not muted, if not then your main board most likely has failed

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Look on the remote for a button labelled ASPECT,P SIZE, ZOOM or FORMAT. Press it until picture is desired size.
