SOURCE: Possible to install Windows XP on an Acer 5532?
Yes you could but Acer won't support it. You either have Vista or 7 in it. If Vista, update to 7 and be done with it.
If you want XP, first copy a full image of your present OS on a external drive using a program like Acronis True Image Home. Then reformat your hard drive when doing an XP install. Do you have a full version XP install disk?

SOURCE: coprocessor driver for windows 7
Hi,
Try letting Windows update detect and install the coprocessor driver for you.
You may have to perform the Windows update a couple of times before the device is detected.
When you start windows update it will give you a list of software and drivers that are available, you will in the list that there are optional updates available. Check there to see if the coprocessor driver is there and install everything except for the language packs.
Hopefully this will resolve the problem for you.
Good luck.
