Best way to handle this is to take it to the store and have them transfer it with the machine they have there to a new device, its painless and takes about 30 secs. Just take your old cell phone with the one you want your contacts to be put on and they will be transferred. If there isn't a Verizon store near you T-mobile also has the same machine. You may have to listen to them try to sell you a phone but you'll get your contacts Good Luck! Hope this helps. OH last thing just in case your wondering this process does NOT require you to have a functioning screen!
Are you a Verizon customer - use 'my backup assistant' to copy the directory to the www. Not a Verizon customer ... you will need to find a cable to conect to your computer and software ...
You have two options. One is to erase user data, and one is to use factory reset. They are both under Security under your Phone Settings. You will need your 4 digit passcode, which is either the last four of your phone number (default) or the 4 digits you changed it to. Factory Reset will completely erase everything, and it will be like new again. So.... both ways result in losing your contact list. If you have Verizon go under media center and run backup assistant, which will save your contacts to the Verizon servers, you can then re-download the backup assistant once the phone is reset and all your contacts will be restored.
Verizon's network does not use SIM Cards, only if you have a Blackberry and your going out of the country -would they give you one.
Since their phones are built to pickup CDMA signal, most of the phones don't have a spot for a SIM Card.. Because the phones can't pickup sim card signal..
But your local Verizon Wireless store can hook up both the phones to their system, to do a phonebook transfer for you! Or you can signup online for backup assistant through verizon. Backup assistant is where Verizon saves & copies your contacts onto the website - and then when you hook up a new phone, you use get it now to get backup assistant on the new phone, and it will copy the numbers over for you. If you signup online, it's free.
well i have the same phone and i ended up replacing it because there was an factory default so if i were you i would see if there was any warrenty left on the phone and get it replaced
