SOURCE: How do I run a firmware update to a canon mx310

Firmware is downloaded from the manufacture.
if you go to www.canon.com
go to your country. Go to support and downlaods.
get your model entered.
Once selected it will take you to the model (mx310) and you can select the firmware to download.
you will have to run it on your computer and usually can hit run when you are downloading it.
Here is a link to your model it may or may not work. hope this helps

Camera focus is not aligned, software problem
Your lens is most likely been damaged by dropping the camera or it may have gotten sand or dirt in the gears. Software is not going to affect your focus and there is no way for you to do anything with the software other than update the firmware, which will have no effect on your focus problem.

My G9 wont open the battery is charged
When my former wife arrived from a European trip, she was very upset because suddenly the Canon G9 I had lent her wouldn't open. It was right before Christmas too. I immediately went on line and found Cameras and Parts which was highly recommended by others. After having an unproductive conversation with Canon in which they claimed their was not a general problem with the G9, I contacted Cameras and Parts. I'm happy to report that the camera was fixed in no time and cost about half of what Canon wanted - plus it was refurbished and works great. So you might try Cameras and Parts.

Lost ImageBrowser software for my Canon G9, I can only find places to get the updates - where can you get a full version download from?
The update of Zoombrowser EX is the full version. Just download it from Canon USA support or download.cnet.com.

Can I export photos from iPhoto back into the Canon G9 PowerShot?
No, you can't.
You only can transfer the pictures back to the camera if the pictures were taken by the same model cameras, plus the pictures were not modified.
